While I've been here a few times before, we came again for Restaurant Week and to treat my mom.

The service was impeccable, per usual. While food can take a while to arrive, the staff are always pleasant and treat everyone with so much kindness.

Also, the space is vibrant with a good selection of spanish language music, new and old. The vibe is always cheerful.

Now, on to the food!

Everything was amazing! Some of the best chips with a lovely bean dip in the entire city. All of our mains were great too.

Portion sizes are reasonable for the price and you can't complain about refillable coffee, especially when it's local and delicious.

The desserts included with the Restaurant Week menu weren't the strongest, but nothing to complain about. This place just has its strengths in savory dishes.

Can't wait to go again and try even more from the rest of the menu.

What a lovely Oaxacan spot - I stopped by for brunch and felt so warmly welcomed by the host. The house chips with beans were delicious, and the Dos Tamales Divorciados was a standout, which featured two tamales with red and green moles - the red mole was rich and chocolatey, while the green mole was tangy and bright. Both were phenomenal! The Champurrado hot chocolate was another highlight - thick, rich, and perfect for a cold day.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the hospitality is exceptional. I am already looking forward to coming back to try the dinner menu!

We stopped in for a drink and appetizers and ended up ordering watermelon margaritas (so light and refreshing!), the quesadilla special (lightly cheesy and packed with guac!), and the tlayuda (topped with some incredibly refreshing ingredients, the nopales was a special treat) and left happy. Would highly recommend for some unique Mexican cuisine and friendly service.

I recently visited Kie-Gol-Lanee, an Oaxacan gem that left a mostly positive impression. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The patio area was delightful, providing a lovely atmosphere for enjoying our meal. The menu was impressively extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes that make it easy to want to come back and try more. While the quesadillas and enchiladas we ordered were tasty and satisfying, the arrachera traditional dish was disappointing. The meat didn’t taste that fresh, lacking the flavor I was hoping for. Overall, it was kind of bland. The tepache drink however was so good and refreshing. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try their desserts, but I'm looking forward to returning to explore more of their menu. Despite the minor setback with the arrachera, Kie-Gol-Lanee has a lot to offer, and I'm excited to see what else they have in store.

Fantastisk måltid på Logan Square plats. Varje förrätt, förrätt och dryck var utsökt. Sopa DE elote (majssoppa) var underbar. Tlayuda med kjolbiff var en stor hit med vår son. Fyllda fläskkotletter och ceviche tostadas var också hits. Servicen var bra. Rekommenderar starkt!

Maten var bra, inte bra. Drycker var bra, men när vi bad om en saltad fälg för Margarita, de saltade ca 1/4 av det. Servicen var bra. Främre rummet var verkligen högt, men bakre rummet var tystare. Mitt enda klagomål är att de brukade vara en BYOB och ändrade det - vilket är bra. Men deras vinlista är mycket begränsad och när jag försökte ta med en flaska, tänkte jag betala en korkage avgift, de skulle inte tillåta det.

Så bra! Platsen är liten och typ av trångt men vad det saknar i storlek, denna plats kompenserar för i smak! Vi kom i tid men de var packade så vi väntade i bilen i ca 10 minuter. Vi satt på övervåningen i hörnet vilket var en trevlig överraskning eftersom mittenborden var så nära varandra. Vi beställde från restaurangveckan så stirrade med margarita som var ok. Tamale var bra och hade en stor kycklingfyllning. Den tlayuda withsliced nötkött var riktigt trevligt. Tortillan var god och krispig och nötköttet var mört. Den värmdes upp bra i luftfritösen men var ganska kladdig och svår att äta eftersom den var öppen som en pizza, men det finns ingen pärm som håller fast toppingarna på tortillan. Kyckling enchiladas var läckra och den röda mullvaden var den perfekta komplimangen. Camarones de diabla var kryddig och utsökt. Räkorna var färska och tillagade perfekt men presentationen och tallriken var inte särskilt vettig. Att täcka de kokta räkorna med sallad var bara besvärligt att äta. Salladen och avokadon ska vara på sidan. Vi beställde flan och tres leches till desert. Presentationen av båda var fantastisk, men tres iglar var FENOMENAL! Inte för sött, snyggt balanserat och perfekt storlek efter middagsmenyn.

Helt äkta oaxakansk mat. Få om något gillar det i chicago. Tlayuda är fantastisk. Tamalerna är unika, annorlunda konsistens än vad du är van vid men läcker. Deras mol är singular! ! Det bästa jag har haft. Bean dopp istället för salsa med chips är underbart gå hit du kommer inte att vara ledsen.

Maten här är utmärkt och skiljer sig från de flesta mexikanska restauranger i staden. Vi bestämde oss för att prova denna restaurang och det var härligt! Min man försökte gräshopparna och var fascinerad. Den huvudsakliga måltiden och dessert var utsökt. Servitrisen var mycket hjälpsam med våra frågor. Vi försökte matar som var olika och kommer definitivt att försöka igen.

Detta är en mysig stadsdel restaurang som serverar mat från Oaxaca som inte är din typiska mexikansk mat. De två kockarna tar sitt arbete seriöst och personalen är mycket vänlig. Priserna är reasonabe och eftersom du kan ta med egna drycker är priset ännu bättre. De är glada att servera en blandning med din tequila. Som en av mina favorit latinamerikanska städer är Oaxaca, var jag glad att serveras äkta rätter från regionen som är några av de finaste i Mexiko.

Vi har besökt Oaxaca, och var glada att upptäcka denna lilla restaurang medan du åker bussen ner Sheridan. Så vi kom tillbaka till middag, och blev verkligen inte besviken! Menyn är inte stor men vad de erbjuder är mycket speciell, och vi var nöjda med allt vi beställde. Det mest kända är förmodligen tlayudaen - en plåtformad anbud - skarp tortilla fylld med bönor och andra godsaker. Jag var stolta över att se både huitlacoche (översatt som majs tryffel) och chapulines (stekt, kryddat gräshoppa) på menyn och åtnjutit dem också. Tamaleen ångades i ett nytt bananblad, vilket gav den en underbar grön färg och smak. Detta är den riktiga mexikansk mat som Rick Bayless "upptäckte" och byggde sin berömmelse på. Men äta här, det är originalet. Mitt förslag skulle vara att läsa menyn noggrant och inse att artiklarna på vänster sida av sidan är verkligen aptitretare storlek, och "fuertes" till höger är middagsstorlek (du kan berätta för priset). Min huitlacoche quesadilla var inte tillräckligt för en måltid, men min följeslagares tlayuda var mer än hon kunde äta. Vi var mycket glada över att namnet på restaurangen är byn i Oaxaca som var hem för ägarna till restaurangen, och att det är Zapotec för "gammal sten".

Utmärkt mat. Hade den gröna mole fläsk tamale och det var en av bästa. Detta är inte fancy mat, bara bra mat full av smak beredd på plats. Hade en skål med pumpa och linssoppa med spenat som var galet bra. Varma jordiska smaker med tillräckligt mycket krydda för att göra det intressant. Personalen var mycket vänliga och hjälpsamma. Detta är en liten plats som förtjänar ett försök. Du kommer inte bli besviken.

I staden gillar Chicago många bra mexikanska restauranger att välja mellan.

I ett anspråkslösa storefront strax norr om argyle street på n sheridan rd hittar du några av de bästa och de flesta prisvärd mexikansk mat i staden. Ett Rejält födelsemärken, utmärkt ceviche underbar mexikanska varm choklad. Alla i en byob. väl värt en resa från centrum på en 151 buss. Du kommer att tillbringa en HEL DEL mer downtown för mindre autentiska Oaxacan mat gör inte missa detta ställe!
