Absolutely phenomenal culinary experience. The food is always amazing - I've come on multiple occasions, over a few years - and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I had the ravioletto as my main this time, and it may have well been the best pasta dish I've ever had. For appetizers, we had crispy pork ear, bone marrow, and prosciutto wrapped persimmons; all were phenomenal.
Of note, you really should make a reservation, especially if you plan to go for dinner, as it is very popular and frequently packed (and rightfully so). The only downside of how popular it is, besides the difficulty getting a reservation sometimes, is that it can be too noisy, especially on busy days/nights. But, overall, a spot that's not to be missed.

Dinner at The Purple Pig was an absolute treat! It was a celebration of delicious and creative meat dishes. Everything we tried was packed with incredible flavor, often with a touch of sweetness or maple syrup in the glaze. We shared ravioli, pork belly, a whipped ricotta appetizer, and paired it with a coconut lime daiquiri, an Old Fashioned, and half a bottle of wine—worth every penny. Our friends raved about their pork shoulder, lamb shank, and Brussels sprouts, leaving their plates spotless. Every bite was a flavor explosion. Highly recommend!

Second time here and the food and service were still as good as I remembered it to be on my last visit in 2021.  This place is always POPPIN’!  Family night, date night, girls’ night…..you name it, the ambiance fits.

The food is always of good quality, very tasty and portions just right. Cocktails are really good, and service is always extra.  Heriberto took care of us, and he was very attentive.

Despite this being my second visit, we got a little lost.  The restaurant is located in what looks like a commercial building.  It is very well worth the visit though.

This was the best meal that I’ve had in a while! We ordered the Greek Salad, Bone Marrow, Roasted Carrots, Mussels, Pork Chop, and an off menu kid’s pasta to share for 3 adults and two children. The Bone Marrow was amazing! The Greek Salad was really good too. For my beverage, I enjoyed the Brachetto, a slightly sparkling, sweet red wine. The almond cake was a great finish to the meal. My kid and I were happy and full. Our friends really enjoyed the meal too.

Absolut älskade denna plats! Rätterna var fulla av smak och konstfullt upplagda — särskilt de små tallrikarna. Personalen var vänlig och effektiv, vilket garanterar en sömlös upplevelse. Fantastisk atmosfär och utsökt mat!

Gick för lunch och allt vi hade var utsökt. Började med tonfisktartar och flyttade till en pastarätt, bläckfisk och avslutade med nötkött. Vi var fyra stycken och matleveransen var klockren. Kolla in bilderna.

Vi besökte Purple Pig baserat på tour book rekommendationer och plats och det gjorde ingen besviken! Vi hade fantastisk mat och underbar Service. Vår servitör föreslog en utanför menyn kockar special av fläskfilé i äppelcider som var så mör och läcker. Så många små tallriksförrätter att välja mellan vi får komma tillbaka på framtida besök i Chicago för att så småningom prova dem alla, men njöt verkligen av svampen 3 sätt och rostade rödbetor i en hasselnötssmör dressing - var tvungen att hindra min man från att gilla tallrikarna. Chokladkakan serveras varm och är att dö för. Priserna är utmärkta för denna kvalitet i Chicago. Det enda negativa är att det är mycket högt. Inget bra ställe för en första dejt!

Purple Pig är en av våra favoritrestauranger i Chicago. Vi kommer för smakerna - väl genomtänkta och balanserade - allt är mycket smakrikt och vi älskar att dela tallrikar. Det är vår go to spot och vi har alltid en stor gemensam måltid. En rekommendation tack, ta tillbaka potatismoset med den bräserade fläskbogen tack! Förändring kan vara bra ibland men strula inte med perfektion!

Vilken fantastisk restaurang! Maten är väldigt unik och så god att man inte kan beskriva den som en viss typ. Deras vinlista är mycket omfattande. 
Vi hade vänner på besök från Paris och de älskade det. 
Hela personalen är förstklassig, och mycket hjälpsam och tillmötesgående.

En av de bästa måltiderna vi någonsin haft! Min man åt kycklingrätt med potatis och kycklingen var otroligt smakrik och saftig. Jag åt biffen kort revbensravioli med benmärg och den var så god att jag var frestad att slicka tallriken. Andra medlemmar i gruppen åt läckra fläsk- och lammrätter. Den enda lilla missen för oss var den grillade calamari; det var inte vår stil som vi föredrar den stekta men vi gav det en chans. Servicen var också utmärkt. Detta är ett absolut måste om du är i Chicago.

Intressanta rätter, livlig matsal. Åt lunch en varm dag, delade flera tallrikar. Det var perfekt.

Vi drog upp den här platsen på ett infall och trodde att det var en grillrestaurang. Vi hade fel. Detta var en av de bästa platserna vi har hittat på länge! Maten var originell och smakerna var fantastiska. Bra nog att jag planerar en resa tillbaka för att ta med min fru. Ett måste om du kan komma in. Boka bord, vi hade tur och hade ett par platser lediga i baren. De lagar mat med sitt hjärta.

Stannade till för middag utan reservation. De kunde sitta oss i baren mittemot köket. Jättecoolt att se alla olika rätter som tillagas. Mat och service var oklanderlig. Jag åt Seafood Risotto och min fru Filet. Båda var utsökta. Så många menyalternativ vi hade velat prova.

Allt var bra, servicen, maten, atmosfären. det var mycket trångt så mitt förslag är att ringa eller få en bokning. Jag tror jag har den sista barstolen.

Kom hit igår kväll med min man och två vänner. Atmosfären är vacker och maten var fantastisk. 

Vi beställde grekisk sallad, kronärtskocka/sparris, tonfisktartartar, kammusslor, kalamari och skaldjursrisotto. Alla var jättegoda! 

För drinkar hade vi den mezcal gamla - gammaldags cocktails. De var utsökta! 

Den verkliga överraskningen var att för en restaurang med denna typ av rykte, huvudservern, Josie var inte bara seriös, men bara inte vänlig. Hon gjorde rekommendationer baserat på vad hon gillade bäst, utan att fråga om våra preferenser. När vi beställde våra cocktails frågade hon inte ens om vi föredrog mezcalen. Jag bör nämna att personalen som tog fram våra drycker och mat var fantastisk. 
 
Service kan göra eller bryta minnen av en stor restaurang. Detta är den enda anledningen till att jag ger detta en 4-stjärnig recension.

Purple Pig har återigen vunnit mitt hjärta! Det har förbättrats till och med en nästa nivå av stor. Personalen var professionell och uppmärksam. Maten var utsökt. Restaurangen var full, men atmosfären var inte kompromissad. Detta är en Chicago favorit för mig.
