My husband and I stayed here over the weekend as a last minute, early birthday getaway for me. From the moment we walked in, we were stunned with how beautiful everything is. Eric was the agent who checked us in and he was very warm and welcoming and made us feel like we were absolutely in the right place. We spent some time in the Fountain Lounge our first night before exploring Canal. The burger was phenomenal, as well as the drinks and music. I wish I could remember the bartenders name because he deserves his flowers as well, as he was professional and engaging and just a lot of fun. He sent us to a speakeasy that we would've never even seen had he not told us where to look. The room was clean and beautiful, even without a view of the city. Everyone we encountered, whether it be other guests or employees of various departments, all seemed very pleasant and kind. We didn't make it to the other bar because it was always so crowded (good thing for the bartenders!) but I'm sure it would've been just as enjoyable as the rest of our stay was. My husband said that this experience has set his standards on future travels because of how safe we felt and how much we enjoyed our time at The Roosevelt. We can't wait to stay again.

Not a 5 star hotel by any means.  Old building.  Rooms are fine but walls and windows are paper thin.  Can hear everything outside on busy street and in adjoining rooms.  Room was not made one night.  Hot water takes 10 minutes to warm up.  Fine location but nothing special.  Nice staff.

Great hotel! We love staying here. The prices are usually reasonable for us. We like staying in one of the suites, especially when we bring our 12 year old. It gives us room to relax after exploring New Orleans all day. Everyone that works at The Roosevelt is very accommodating. We also love, love, love the Aesop bath and body products that are in the room.

We loved staying here! Short stay but will remember how helpful the staff was & the our comfortable room. We also enjoyed the bar with its murals & leather chairs. The old world elegance at the Roosevelt is full of beauty. Would definitely enjoy the swimming pool if we return in warmer weather!

As a lifetime diamond member I have enjoyed so many wonderful hotels.  However, this facility and the staff truly stand out.  It is my favorite Christmas hotel and certainly the best in New Orleans.  Front desk, valet, bartenders, cleaning team, food, concierge....all just impeccable.  A true gem.
