The atmosphere is awesome. But unfortunately the food was not as great as expected. The cabbage with bacon was too salty and the Lo Ba Beng was a bit too spicy. I guess they have different menu for lunch and dinner, just make sure they still provide the dishes that you want specifically before you go.

I came here as I heard a great Taiwanese food place is here but a bit disappointing. Food is just average as I am half Taiwanese, I expect food with this price should be better than Flushing and elsewhere. I ordered popcorn chicken and  minced pork rice with their signature cocktail. Rice is so salty, popcorn chicken is a bit hard to eat, and cocktail is just average. The only thing that's tasty was the sauce for popcorn chicken.

Popcorn chicken is great. I particularly loved the sauce—it’s unlike any other. It has a hint of Chinese cooking wine, which makes it unique.

The bacon with cabbage, however, is awful:
1. The stem is too thick. When I cook cabbage at home, I throw out the thick stem because it’s too tough and doesn’t cook evenly, so was shocking to this at a restaurant. I was really disappointed, especially after watching the video where the owner talks about sourcing cabbage from Choy Commons.
2. The cabbage has no flavor. The sauce has way too much starch, there’s no layers of flavors.
3. It’s spicy, and the menu doesn’t mention that.
The staff agreed to refund for this dish because it was just awful.

Toward the end of our meal, there was a really bad smell in the air. A table next to us noticed it too. We weren’t sure if it was coming from the bathroom or the AC, but it completely ruined our remaining appetite, and we wanted to leave as quickly as possible.

No one checked in on us throughout the meal. We also ordered Lo Ba Beng, we waited over 40 min and had to cancel the dish eventually.

Har velat komma hit ett tag men ville inte dyka upp utan förbehåll. Så den här gången kunde vi boka en sista minuten på Yelp. På en söndag kväll runt 6 är den färgglada men svagt neonbelysta, långa och smala matsalen endast full i det främre avsnittet men klockan 19.00 var den helt fylld. Vi satt i bakrummet i en slags båsplats med hårda bänkar men ganska bekväma (du vill undvika bordet i slutet som bokstavligen ligger bredvid badrummet). Utöver detta var maten - menyn inte omfattande - bra och ganska mycket uppfyllde förväntningarna. Ett par av nudelskålarna var ganska intetsägande, men kyckling med tre koppar var välsmakande, så var det stekt ris med kinesisk korv, popcornräkor, chilidimplings. och den kinesiska spenaten var en av de bästa. Var nyfiken på vilken intressant taiwanesisk efterrätt de kan ha men de erbjuder inte alls. Sammantaget en bra restaurang med relativt rimliga priser.
