Lovely restaurant serving up perfect technique with flavors that ensure balance of power. I recommend the cheeses for sure, apparently it's a "toma celena" that I liked a lot. I also liked the radicchio salad I think, whichever one has good dressing.

For sure get the pastas, all of them have the noodle as the perfect second lead to the great sauces. If you want me to pick one, I would say the bucatini because I'm a sucker for a wiry noodle that keeps form.

From the mains, I remember the duck leg the most for its tenderness. The fish was executed perfectly as well, I just happen to remember the duck leg more.

Excellent spot, accommodating to kids as well. I know I'm leaving the best for last, but their wine list is bonkers good. Highly curated rather than being a book, with excellent understanding of what goes with the person, not just the dish.

i had been anticipating eating here for quite a while and randomly decided to try the food tonight. Service had been amazing, they are engaged and attentive enough to let you finish a course before bringing the next out.

the food was excellent up until the point where I tried the crab calabrata. I had the burrata and pork belly prior to that.

An additional waiter came out to ask me why I didn’t like my pasta after i sent it back. He also brought the food back out with him, as though I was going to eat it after the another staff member took it inside.

I explained to him it’s not what I expected and he explained they cook their pasta under al dente and it is because it’s homemade. It wasn’t just the pasta i didn’t like the sauce either, honestly I just didn’t enjoy it and wanted to get something different instead. I opted to get another drink and an entree to go. He asked me if something was wrong with the other food/drink and if i wanted to send other things I had already clearly eaten and drank back as well.

This same new waiter, recommended a drink brought it out and repeatedly asked me if i was going to send that back too or if i enjoyed it. I previously explained i just didn’t like the pasta everything else was perfect.

Very strange to treat customers like this, to be accosted over not liking hard smoky pasta 😭. Everything else was great including food, drinks and service prior to this man. He wasn’t serving my table at all prior to sending back the food.

Honestly everything would have been perfect minus this man..unnecessarily sassy, i didn’t even take two bites of that plate, i sent it right back.

The duck leg and collard greens are truly amazing. The farro as well, honestly wish I hadn’t experienced this man, he made me really uncomfortable.

I ended up getting the roasted half chicken to go & enjoyed it.

One of the few places I enjoyed everything from appetizer to dessert. Flavorful, well seasoned  (!!) and thoughtful dishes. What I got: seasonal greens salad (and I typically don’t like salads) black bass main, and the chocolate dessert. All FANTASTIC.

Wonderful atmosphere and service, delicious cocktails & everything we ate was excellent! Especially loved the roasted beets and the short rib ragu, but the confit duck leg is definitely worth getting as well

I recently dined at Clay and had the market fish, which was delicious and very well balanced. The pickled turnips were such a great addition to the dish. However, the portion size was extremely small. I intended to order a side, but the waiter quickly took the menu after I ordered the main. When I asked if the portion was enough, the waiter confirmed it was. I wish I had followed my gut instinct and ordered extra. Overall, the main dish was delicious, and I’ll likely be back.

Jag skulle inte rekommendera denna plats till en vän, och kommer inte att planera att återvända. Min fru och jag åt där igår kväll med ett annat par. Vi beställde nötter och oliver till bordet, en flaska vin, jag tog en cocktail, och vi åt varsin förrätt och en huvudrätt, och vi delade på två öknar. Räkningen var $ 150 per person all inclusive. 

Min huvudrätt var $ 24 hamburgare, och när jag började be om rödlök avbröts jag plötsligt av den superciliösa servitören: ”alla våra hamburgare kommer med rödlök på sidan”. Han var helt klart otålig. Tonen var arg. 

Min fru var tvungen att be tre gånger för att identifiera den flaska vin som han rekommenderade på menyn, och slutligen efter att han kallade honom tillbaka till bordet tog han menyn ur hennes hand och otåligt sa namnet var annorlunda än vad han hade beskrivit, men han försäkrade oss att det var bra och priset var $ 105 . Han återvände så småningom för att öppna flaskan och hälla upp en smak för min fru. När han hällde upp tog hon glaset i handen men var mitt i en mening som hon ville avsluta innan hon smuttade på vinet. Han började genast verbalt agitera för att hon skulle sluta prata och smaka på det, och skyndade henne att avsluta sin mening. Det här var verkligen bisarrt. Hon var tvungen att titta upp på honom och säga att hon bara skulle vara en sekund. Han hällde sedan upp de andra tre glasen men inte hennes, ställde ner flaskan och gick. Hon fick sträcka sig över bordet och hälla upp sin egen. 

När måltiden kom såg jag att min hamburgare åtföljdes av en liten kopp med mossig våt plockad rödlök. Jag flaggade ner servitören och frågade om jag kunde få en rå rödlök istället. Han sa avvisande ”vi har ingen rödlök” och gick därifrån. 

Jag vill tillägga att värdinnan för restaurangen var utmärkt. Hon var engagerad och uppmärksam, till synes överallt hela tiden, och försökte göra saker bättre. 

Trots hennes ansträngningar och en bra känsla i restaurangen, med god men inte bra mat, kände jag att detta var en dyr och förolämpande upplevelse.

Jag stannade in med vänner för cocktails i baren. Tjänsten är fantastisk och cocktails är enastående.

Maten är fantastisk och designen på övervåningen är elegant och cool. Harlem håller på att bli en händelseplats.

Min fru och jag stannade förbi på väg till en show på Apollo. Det såg inbjudande utifrån. Vänta personalen var kunnig och vänlig. Menyn var en besvikelse och hade inte mycket variation. Maten var inte vad jag förväntade mig och var extremt dyr.

Gömd bort i Harlem ligger denna smakfullt inredda restaurang. Val till gård till bord. Vi började med oliver, ett utsökt sortiment. En av specialerna var korta revben, läckra beredda och ömma. Min vän beställde strip biff men när hon smakade min korta revben var ledsen hon gjorde det. Hon väntade sig en grilladsås, men var en mycket mer subtil förberedelse. Jag har ingen recension för efterrätten för vi var bekvämt lugna efter vår middag. Men när jag är i området igen kommer jag definitivt att gå tillbaka.

Jag har haft en underbar brunch här för månader sedan, men gick in förra veckan med vänner för kvällscocktails i baren. De besvikna inte. Servicen är vänlig, stämningen är inbjudande och cocktails är fantastiska! !

Vi gick igår till Clay för en rolig middag. Det var utmärkt. Vi hade fläskmagen, tartare, ankan, fläskfilé, munkar och panna cotta. Nästan allt var helt läckert, kanske med undantag av panna cotta. Jag rekommenderar det väldigt mycket. Det är underbar mat med en mycket trevlig atmosfär.

Vi har njutit middagar på Clay för en tid och gick nyligen med en samling av vän från Kalifornien. Som alltid var mat, vin, tjänsten härlig! Det är en plats med passion, passion för friskhet, lokal mat, service och alltid villig att behaga. . . med maten som kommer ut ur köket av kocken gör jobbet enkelt. . . Utsökt!

Detta var fantastiskt! Maten var bortom fantastiskt! Och personalen var så hjälpsamma när det gäller dieter. Jag var så glad över att ha hittat denna restaurang.
De hade gjort en härlig ansträngning ner med ballonger för nyårsafton och det hade en mycket intim atmosfär.

Helt enkelt fantastiska brioche franska toast! Jag brukar inte vara en fransk toast-tjej så jag valde den delikta betesorten i stället. Min brorson, som hade varit i Clay innan jag insisterade på att jag provade sin franska toast och man oj, ångrade jag inte att jag beställde min egen.

Kaffe var färskt bryggt. Vinval ganska bra och tjänsten var trevlig. Utrymmet är intimt och väl utformat.

Jag skulle definitivt rekommendera för brunch, kvällsdrinker eller datum natt. Harlem pärla säkert.

Bra läge, trevliga interiörer, coola publiken, mycket upptagen, så se till att du gör en bokning. Vänlig och effektiv personal och service. . . riktigt bra mat, fräsch och väl förberedd! Vinet har förbättrats avsevärt från när jag var här förra året, bra gjort!

Vi hade en underbar kväll här, restaurangen är bra värde, kyckling lever var mycket bra. Pastas av garanelli och bucatini var bra. Övergripande en mycket njutande middag i ett lokalt område utanför Central park.

Jag blev lockad av en beskrivning av restaurangen. Jag är alltid en fan av lokala, gårdsbordsmat, och jag älskade tanken att Clay även lokalt käller sina tallrikar från en pottare i Brooklyn. Maten själv var ganska bra - - högkvalitativa produkter och subtila vävning av smaker - - men delarna kände sig ganska små och vi båda lämnade känner sig hungriga (trots tabellen $ 100 + för en sallad, två förrätter och en flaska kolsyrat vatten) . Vi satt nere på banquetten. Förmodligen är den höga stoppade ryggen avsedd att dämpa bullret, men det gav en ganska klaustrofobisk känsla för min man som kände att han tittade på mig på en matta hela natten. Och det tycktes inte hjälpa till med ljudet - - det var extremt högt i det källarrummet. Inga klagomål om service, men ingen hög beröm heller.

Det som slog mig mest på Clay är kvaliteten på de produkter de tjänar. Men de har också några riktigt kompetenta kockar i köket (med undantag för ett avsnitt - mer om detta senare).

En starter av fläskmag imponerade rätt från början: smakrika, saftiga, perfekt kokta och passande matchade med garneringar som senapsfrön och jästkål.

En annan starter av rödbetor innehöll återigen goda grönsaker, men det kanske saknades någon "väsentlig" komponent (en potatis eller någon annan form av kolhydrater) för att kvalificera som en starter, så skiljaktig från en sidovägg. Å andra sidan hade en grönsaksservis vi hade senare, en rostat blomkål med gurkmeja var bra utöver förväntan, med bra smak och perfekt konsistens.

När det gäller elnätet var en confit duck fantastisk, köttet hade precis rätt mängd fett och utmärkt smak. En fläsklinne å andra sidan, medan det förmodligen var bättre som maträtt, med flera garneringar som skapade ett invecklat och förtjusande nätverk av smaker, var lite nedslående eftersom köttet var överkokt och därför för torrt.

Desserter var definitivt inte upp till samma standarder. Varken en pannacotta eller en chokladbudino var nära vad vi känner igen som sådana. Strukturen av båda var tung och krånglig, och jag antar att det var ett överskott av gelningsmedel. God choklad men fortsätter temat vård för produktionen.

Tjänsten var extremt vänliga och hjälpsamma (t.ex. när vi var odefinierade mellan två öl som de tillät oss att smaka dem - vi hamnade med båda ...), men när platsen trångt upp blev det mycket svårare att fånga uppmärksamheten. Priserna är rättvisa med hänsyn till kvalitet och plats.
