A decent place with good food and great service.  The server explained everything and was very helpful.

A bit on the pricey side for a chain, but the quality of the meat is very good.

The atmosphere is pub like with a Japanese flare.

We wouldn’t rush back, but we aren’t opposed to going back either.

This experience was extremely fun!
We got the Holiday Premium Special and we were very surprised with how tasty the meat was. Some pieces were thicker than other cuts, but all the meat was super tasty. They probably marinade it. Other protein like Chicken and shrimps were surprisingly good as well.
With all the meat came soup, salad, rice and many other dishes, some with meat as well, like the pork gioza.
Interacting with the grill was fun for everybody and added an extra fun element to the experience.
We exited the resturant beat and super full, there was plenty of food.
The staff were super busy and tiered and we could feel that some of them didn't appreciate all of our questions, which we asked since the Staff's English wasn't always good and the place was very noisy, so often we had difficulty hearing their answers.

Having visited the midtown east location for work lunches, I was eager to try this location that's only a 10-minute walk from my apartment. Before I arrived I was reminded of a 2-hour time limit and a mandatory 20% gratuity for our party of eight via OpenTable.

Once seated, we learned our time was cut to 1.5 hours due to fewer guests, which didn't quite add up. The friendly waitress reminded us of happy hour, but the waiter seemed disappointed with our order and mentioned, “So you guys have been here before, right? The portions are pretty small.” Six meat dishes and three appetizers felt sufficient for our group of three.

When a friend asked for help with meats sticking to the grill, the waiter curtly referenced a policy against using oil instead of offering solutions such as turning down the flame. There were also no instructions for the vegetable items, which would have been helpful.

While a 20% tip is typical, the mandatory gratuity for a smaller group felt unfair. I intended to tip that amount, but the guaranteed charge left me unsatisfied. Overall, clearer communication and a more accommodating approach would improve the experience.

Busy place!!! I've been here twice in two years and it always has a hectic, breakneck atmosphere.  Reserved tables never seem to be ready so be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes after your reservation to be seated.  For as busy as they are, we've always had super positive interactions with staff.  It can be difficult to flag down refills or additional orders though, so I recommend getting a course so the food keeps flowing without needing to flag down the ultra-busy staff.  The food is always tasty and solidly presented, so no issues there!

Meat was decent service was too slow choosed to AUCE choice but in only 3 time order our time off 90 minutes was over waiting my meat too long. Even grill was burned out just waiting my meat. And asked for refill of my drink and it takes to them 25 minutes to do it so. Thank you no coming back. And even server was Spanish but racist only serving good to whities not the others. If you are not white folks you are no one there for her. And for her just let you know I tipped you good even so you were slow and you know.
