The food was amazing, literally the best sushi I have ever had. The seafood is all so fresh and you can tell the dishes have had a lot of thought put into them. Our server was a fantastic guide through all the flavors and did a great highlighting the Peruvian flair to these dishes. Would highly recommend going.

Our experience at Tomo was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the relaxed and elegant atmosphere and the fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavors captivated us in every dish. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the flavors are truly unique and blew us away. We also loved the sparkling wine and wine recommendations from the sommelier, which complemented our meal perfectly.
I want to especially highlight the service from Luis, who was incredibly attentive and informative, always ready to guide us with kindness and answer any questions we had. Thanks to his charm and attention to detail, our experience at Tomo was even more memorable. Without a doubt, it’s a place we’ll return to and recommend to anyone looking for a unique, top quality Nikkei experience in Lima.

An absolute favorite in Lima. For a party of 7, our server Julio guided us through back to back perfection of bites. Service was fantastic and ambiance was great; very happening spot. I highly recommend it. Thank you Julio and Toma for an amazing meal!

Possibly the most delicious gyoza I’ve ever had. One of the best nigiri I’ve ever had. But the service is just weird. We didn’t have a reservation so sat at the bar which we usually enjoy. But we felt rushed the whole time - order more order more order more. Plates were cleared almost before you’d finished lifting the nigiri to your mouth - and one of the waiters made me feel bad for having the menu open in front of me and got quite parental about soy sauce getting on it - I am 57 years old and was made to feel like a child. The food is great but it’s small and expensive- so the service needs to be top notch. This was toooooo brisk to be comfortable

A FOODIE’S JOURNEY INTO A CASUAL, YET DELIGHTFUL PERUVIAN NIKKEI EVENING 🤩🤩🤩.

It started with an amusing discovery of a cloak-and-dagger facade of a gated compound 😎😎😎,        Obvious identification sign of the restaurant on the other side of the street, until the actual gate is on one’s face… it’s a laugh😆

The menu is a true reflection of the Japanese influence in Peruvian gastronomy 👏👏👏.  It’s a great menu to create one’s tasting course over the course of dinner. Terrific range of choices from Crudo, to the simmered or flambeed, to cooked food.

The waiter has an impressive grasp of the entire menu, recommending popular customer choice and his own favorites. BRAVO👏👏👏.

🤩 Wakame Salad::: always a greater starter to a Nikkei dinner

🤩🤩🤩 Fish Sandwiches::: surprisingly presentation of a whole crispy fish tempura with delicate sauce…. WOW

🤩🤩🤩 Duck & Foie Gyoza ::: an elevated version of the ubiquitous gyoza filled with flavorful duck meat with foie gras… WOW

🤩🤩🤩 Razor Clams::: fantastic lightly blanched razors garnished with ikura and Uni… A SPLENDID FLAVOR OF THE SEA!

🤩🤩🤩 Uni Scallops::: HEAVENLY TREAT of the premium fresh scallops and sea urchin roe… the flaming treatment on the table produced a “crème of the sea”

🤩🤩🤩 Tuna Belly with Oysters Sushi ::: IT IS SUSHI AT ITS BEST. Fresh cuts of tuna belly topped with Peruvian oysters and caviar… WOW … the sushi rice is a very minute part of the great assemblage of Crudo…. WOW WOW WOW

🤩🤩🤩 Scallops Duck Foie::: MOST DELIGHTFUL SURF-AND-TURF CREATION. Fresh scallops wrapped in pancetta topped with a sliver of duck meat and Foie gras… Flaming resulted in the most  lovely combination of meat and seafood vignette… WOW WOW WOW

🤩🤩🤩 Grilled Fish Collar:: the most under utilized part of large fish, simple seasoning and grilled to perfection … the house sauce made it a FEAST FOR EYES AND PALATE OF A PERFECT FISH DISH 👏👏👏

🤩🤩🤩 Tomo Rice ::: a simple yet elegant fragrant rice dish with grilled octopus and prawns… A SUPERB RE-INVENTION OF THE SPANISH PAELLA 👏👏👏

🤩🤩🤩 Pasta Mushrooms::: a simple but most flavorful sauté of mushrooms and vegetables with Japanese ramen noodles… LOVELY ACCOMPANIMENT TO A SEAFOOD DINNER.👍👍👍👍.

The restaurant ambience is so very well conceived. The mysterious entrance made the whole dining environment so very exciting.
