Wir waren am 27.12. mit 4 Personen zum Mittagessen in der Kaminstube. Sowohl das Mittagsmenü mit dem Hauptgang Eismeerlachsforelle auf Blattspinat mit Thymian-Zitronensauce und Tagliatelle als auch das Rinderfilet mit Gänseleber schmeckten uns vorzüglich. Zusätzlich wurden vorweg verschiedene, sehr leckere Amuse Bouche gereicht und zweierlei Baguette mit gesalzener Butter und Kräuterquark. Der Dollenberg-Sekt und der Châteauneuf-du-Pape waren perfekt temperiert und das Service-Personal war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Wir fühlten uns alle sehr wohl und werden die Kaminstube bald wieder besuchen.

We were there on December 27th. with 4 people for lunch in the Kaminstube. We enjoyed both the lunch menu with the main course of Arctic salmon trout on leaf spinach with thyme-lemon sauce and tagliatelle and the beef fillet with goose liver. In addition, various very tasty amuse bouches and two types of baguette with salted butter and herb quark were served beforehand. The Dollenberg sparkling wine and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape were at the perfect temperature and the service staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. We all felt very comfortable and will visit the Kaminstube again soon.

Wir waren am 25.06. zu unserem 41. Hochzeitstag im Restaurant Dollenberg zum Mittagstisch. Meine Frau bestellte das Menü 1 und ich das Menü 2 . Das Menü meiner Frau war sehr gut. Mein Menü, außer dem Hauptgang, war auch wirklich fein, was aber beim Hauptgang zu bemängeln war, der Fisch war verkocht, viel zu weich und die beiliegenden Zuckerschoten waren nicht von den Fäden befreit, sodass ich ständig die Restfäden aus meinem Mund ziehen musste. Auf zweimalige Nachfrage, ob das Essen gut war, habe ich die Situation erklärt, aber auf die Reklamation kam keinerlei Reaktion. Das war ein ganz schlechtes Reklamationsmanagement.
Wir haben kein Preisnachlass im Menü erwartet, aber zumindest eine Entschuldigung. Unser Kellner am Tisch , dem wir die Situation nochmal erläutert haben, hat uns ganz normal abkassiert.
Ich glaube nicht , dass das der Vorsatz dieses Hauses ist, Reklamationen einfach tot zu schweigen.

We were there on June 25th. for our 41st wedding anniversary at the Dollenberg Restaurant for lunch. My wife ordered menu 1 and I ordered menu 2. My wife's menu was very good. My menu, apart from the main course, was also really fine, but what I had to complain about with the main course was that the fish was overcooked, much too soft and the sugar snap peas that came with it were not free of the strings, so I had to constantly pull the remaining strings out of my mouth. When asked twice whether the food was good, I explained the situation, but there was no response to the complaint. That was very poor complaint management.
We didn't expect a discount on the menu, but at least an apology. Our waiter at the table, to whom we explained the situation again, cashed us in as normal.
I don't believe that this is the intention of this House to simply ignore complaints.
Too bad.

Positiv möchte ich unseren freundlichen Kellner hervorheben. Zunächst wollte man mich nicht hineinlassen, weil ich eine kurze Hose (30°C Außentemperatur) trug, wie auch einige der Hausgäste, was ich aber erst später sah. Das Essen war Hausmannskost (Vorspeise: 3 verschiedene Tomaten, Mozzarella, Basilikum). Dafür muss ich nicht in ein Gourmetrestaurant gehen. Dem Anspruch ist das Restaurant jedenfalls nicht nachgekommen. Das Ambiente ist gediegen, vielleicht war es in den 1990er Jahren mal chique. Die Bezeichnung Kaminstube ist irreführend, jedenfalls wenn man sich unter einer Kaminstube nicht einen Saal vorstellt.

I would like to positively highlight our friendly waiter. At first they didn't want to let me in because I was wearing shorts (30°C outside temperature), like some of the house guests, but I only saw this later. The food was home cooking (starter: 3 different tomatoes, mozzarella, basil). I don't have to go to a gourmet restaurant for this. In any case, the restaurant did not comply with the claim. The ambience is dignified, perhaps it was once chic in the 1990s. The term fireplace room is misleading, at least if you don't imagine a fireplace room as a hall.
