We enjoyed our visit at this exceptionally designed museum/space. The mix of styles and surfaces in the architecture, spanning across various time periods and purposes, all meshed together, was quite interesting to begin with.

In addition to admiring the architecture and the plaza, an experience that felt both immersive and meditative, we thoroughly enjoyed many of the contemporary sculptures.

It was quite fun to finish our visit with a drink at Bar Luce (designed by director, Wes Anderson). It felt like being transported to a sophisticated pastel dream of the 50’s/60’s.

We went on a weekday which probably made everything better.

It’s a nice enough place in general, but it’s not all that it can be hyped up to be, especially by local foreigners and a certain type of crowd, and it’s lacking in certain areas.

The architecture, by OMA, is nice, but it’s not mindblowing. There’s ample space to walk, sit, talk and do anything. There’s ample space staff is usually nice and don’t bother anyone.

The exhibition spaces are where you can notice how unimpressive the art collection is. Too much space, too little art. The tower has some nice views, but again, nothing great.

The bar, Bar Luce, designed by Wes Anderson, is good, with friendly staff, most of whom are happy to help in English, and it’s not too expensive. Though the menu is not very expansive either.

The cinema is arguably the best part about the place (for people who are into movies, of course), with showings of interesting movies, italian and foreign, at remarkably low prices. The seats are comfortable, and neither too few or too many.

Overall, it’s a good place, somewhat expensive of a ticket for what it actually has, but it’s at least worth a visit once for its relative importance as a cultural landmark for the city of Milan

Started with building number two with shoe chorus, then followed by neuroscience exhibition at building nine. These were the most impactful.
The multi story building had some floors closed, even the restaurant I hoped to visit. Big bonus, quiet elevator, we were able to go up and down without waking up sleeping baby in the stroller. Mostly stroller friendly place.

Lovely buildings with great architecture. Due to the failing main elevator everyone was queuing for the only elevator in the built so we had to climb a lot of stairs. This wouldn’t be a problem but after 2 days of intense city tripping this was a downside (it was out of service for a while).
