We had a very pleasant stay. There is a lot of character to the building, they have a small garden which is amazing. The bathroom are very unique and looks pretty cool.
The place is bang on the 5th Ave and is super accessible. If you are a light sleeper there may be a bit of party noise, this did not bother us though.
The hotel staff(thanks Michelle )is super friendly and helped us with tips on great eating places around
The water in the shower is warm and not hot and if you are experiencing extreme water pressure like we experienced reducing the flow rate to really low volume helps.

Wow. This charming little property totally blew my expectations out of the water. I booked this last minute, and had no idea it was on the busiest pedestrian street in Playa del Carmen. 😅 So as I walked in I was a little bit nervous that I wouldn't be able to sleep due to the loud music blasting outside it all hours. Once you step in through the front gates of the property, you feel like you've just stepped into a little secret oasis. The property is so cozy and homey, they have a free little breakfast spread that is perfect with toast and coffee and cereal. Each room has its own Wi-Fi and it is some of the fastest I've ever encountered in Mexico. And the price was a steal of a deal. If you are super sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs but they do a good job of double windowing the room so it's not as bad. But you can still hear things since you're right on the main street. Without a doubt I will be coming back here.

We booked the rooms as a last stop before flying out. Everything was spot on. Service was very friendly and top notch. Breakfast was not mentioned but there were laid out a light spread for toast and jam, cereal and coffee. Very nice. Theme was well executed, feels almost magical. AC looks old but functions with no issue. Rooms are very clean in all nooks and crannies. WiFi functions perfectly, and each room has their own access point. Cozy and homely all over, a true gem.

Stayed here last march. Was excited Lunata was in the main strip. I arrived as a solo traveller to find my adjoining room had no locks to separate rooms. I figured was a closet I opened the “closet” door to see another door I could push open to another room.   The room safe was vintage the front staff was to give me a lock to use safe yet never had. I only knew this when another traveller I knew asked me into there suite and I saw their safe locked up.  That evening I got kidnapped my some low level cartel last I remember I was in my room and had 4 beer with another traveller.  After an altercation with said cartel I was delivered back to hotel where I was greeted by the manager who let me back in.  Next day the thugs came for more cash which manager insisted I pay or the thugs would come back. and he would be the middle man giving them my cash in return for my phone and ID, bank cards n such.  When they came back I paid up annd  All I got was my useless collection of business cards from associates. Was obvious the manager was in on the whole scam. There’s more small details to this story of which are minimal and trivial.  The court yard is wide open to public, security is zero, rooms aren’t secure.  Don’t accept any free shots in playa,  lock your credit cards, stay in groups.   Above all avoid this place it’s been scamming tourists and playa will soon be like Acapulco if this continues.

You have to be aware that this hotel is on the very busy street where all the restaurants where play the music loud. Probably a lot of drunk people around too. But it’s still a cute cozy hotel in a convenient location. Breakfast isn’t much (coffee and toast) but I don’t eat breakfast so that works for me.
