I came in with a small group for dinner on a Sunday, reservation was a little difficult to secure in advance. However, everything we ate was well worth it! The food was fresh and delicious, I would highly recommend the potted carrots for an appetizer. I was also impressed by the variety of NA & low ABV options in addition to the cocktail and wine lists.
I was skeptical of the steep mandatory service charge of 25% added to all bills. Thankfully the service lived up to the expectations! Our waitress was friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu and timed each course perfectly, we never felt rushed or that we were waiting around for the next items. Our water glasses were always kept full even after paying the check, crumbs wiped off the table between each dish, and napkins folded if you stepped away during the meal.
The dining room was sleek and clean and not too loud. Great vibe for a date night or special occasion meal!

Have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by the overall concept and delivery at this restaurant - was told the mindset to adopt was “Midwest if it was in Italy”, and that made everything else make sense. Pasta options are great but get playful with the small plates here! Service was very friendly and efficient as well!

We've come here multiple times for dinner and a few times for breakfast pastries and coffees - amazing experience each time.

For breakfast, there is always an ample amount of savory and sweet options in the pastry box. And the coffee selection is great. The vibes at this time are also great. It's an order at the counter experience, and you can dine in. There's usually lots of seating available, or you can grab it to go. People bring their laptops to work while enjoying their coffees.

For dinner, we've gone as a date night and with a group of 6. Both experiences were excellent. For both occasions, we did shared plating - aiming to try as many pastas as possible :). Whatever is a seasonal sauce, make sure to get it. Their ingredients are so fresh and it really comes out in the flavor! The french onion dip is an easy add on. I can't wait to come back for the next season's menu.

I also can't wait to come back and try lunch! It looked like they had salads and sandwiches for lunch that seem like a must try.

Daisies is one of the hottest spots in Chicago for a good reason!

This was my second time here, and all I can remember from my first visit is the regret of not getting the potted carrots. Every table around us got them and raved about them so the main mission of this trip was to obviously get the carrots, they were fantastic. I also always recommend the Frito Misto and chips & dip. When you’re here for tomato season you have to get the tomato as a starter!

All of their house made pastas are also incredible, they rotate often but the Pierogis are a staple usually and if you like mussels then get them. We got their cavatelli and then a Mushroom Papardelle which were my two favorites of the evening. The nduja is good but not great, I’ve had it twice and it’s just not for me I guess.

And for dessert they have an amazing pastry chef so you can’t go wrong with anyone. A top notch place, they do charge an automatic service fee (which for whatever reason seems to be the main reason people leave negative reviews?) so be prepared for that, but I always have had good service here so to me it is always warranted!

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but my first visit to Daisies was frustrating enough to make an exception. The coffee and pastries were lovely, and the pasta was delicious, but the service by our server was disappointing. UNFRIENDLY ATTITUDE and didn’t seem to care about our table, even forgetting one of our dishes and leaving long gaps between each course. With a 25% service charge, I expected a higher level of professionalism, or at the very least, a polite apology. Thankfully, three of my friends chose not to come, so they missed out on this experience. I don’t plan on returning and will be telling my friends to avoid this place.
